Whiskers in Serenity is the fourth collection by pyrography artist Zona Greig, created in 2025 and exhibited at Homebrew Taproom and Tunes from March through April of that year. This seven-piece series honors the vibrancy of identity and the quiet strength of presence, combining intricate wood burning with symbolic colorwork inspired by the Pride flag.
Each of the first six pieces reflects one of the flag’s core colors and meanings, brought to life through serene feline imagery:
- Crimson Feline – Red: Life
- Amber Paws – Orange: Healing
- Golden Whiskers – Yellow: Sunlight
- Verdant Serenity – Green: Nature
- Azure Tranquility – Blue: Harmony
- Amethyst Mystique – Violet: Spirit
The seventh piece, Prismatic Illusion, brings all six colors together in a layered, kaleidoscopic composition, symbolizing unity, diversity, and the beauty of the whole.
Whiskers in Serenity celebrates the handmade, the meaningful, and the enduring. Rooted in themes of pride and peaceful self-expression, the collection invites viewers to pause, reflect, and appreciate the conversation between wood, identity, and art.
