Description
A guardian forged at the intersection of storm and forest, Dryad’s Guard is a bold mixed-media statement piece that merges pyrography with hand-applied paint to create the image of a sword born from lightning.
The blade is rendered through controlled, layered burn techniques — gradients, textural scoring, and deep line work — giving the steel an illusion of heat and power. Surrounding energy arcs in painted detail, amplifying the sense that the weapon has just been struck into existence by a storm. The interplay between burned wood and pigment creates contrast: earth and electricity, root and sky, permanence and force.
