We are proud to announce that Her Sovereignty was exhibited at the Mint Museum Uptown from April 23 to May 26, 2025, as part of Guilding the Mint, a juried exhibition in partnership with the Guild of Charlotte Artists.
This piece represents my most ambitious and intricate work to date. Her Sovereignty combines precision and handcraft, using laser-cut silhouettes layered with hand-burned pyrographic details. The design is enriched with color using Prismacolor pencils, bringing depth, emotion, and vibrancy to the composition.
The piece explores themes of identity, strength, and sacred femininity. Every line, burn, and curve was created with intention—balancing the sharp precision of technology with the warmth and texture of the handmade. It stands as a tribute to resilience, quiet power, and the beauty of complexity.
